At VVC we strongly feel that the number one key success factor to a smooth running production is communication. That is why we assign a VVC producer to each project at the site survey stage and this producer sees the event though to its eventual completion. With tight timelines, multiple stakeholders, locations that are often not event friendly and variable weather conditions, we have found that it is the flow of knowledge from the site survey through to the quoting, equipment procurement, staffing and production stages that make for a successful show.

At the site survey our clients rely on us to give them consultative advice on the best way to stage the event, keeping in mind our client’s overall goals as well as how to best satisfy the technical requirements of the production and the working media.

On the job-site, VVC’s role is to effectively stage the event incorporating any new information that has developed since the site survey. This may also include a certain amount of site management, integrating local elements into the production. For example, positioning heavy equipment for a photo op or hanging signage to strategically take advantage of its location for camera angles. An evaluation of the angle of the sun for outdoor events is also critical.
